THE POWER ALLEY STORY...

Co- Founder, Chris Baker first introduced social media to one of Canada's largest insurance companies (Canada Life) in 2006 at a time when companies like this were very wary of social media and their reputation! 

They still use some of his implementations today!  But his biggest sports passion is baseball. Chris and Dave have both coached baseball and hockey for more than 20 years between the two of them and in 2025 Chris took up a second passion for politics and went viral, hosting his own political commentary show on YouTube, with features on Instagram, TikTok and X, to name a few. 

Discussing this success with professional athletes and organizations in his baseball circle, Chris was told "if only you could teach some of my players how to get noticed like that by scouts and college recruiters and how to present themselves professionally on social media. Chris thought, "of course we can" and partnered with former business partner Dave Tanner once again (they started a streaming service for the mortgage industry, yep, like Netflix) to bring Power Alley Media to life in the Hockey space as well.  Now, we cater to all athletes looking for a chance to be noticed, recruited and scouted!

As Co-Founder and Director of Education, Chris is the primary instructor of our Recruited course on the Power Alley platform. 

Chris, a social media influencer himself with nearly 100,000 followers and subscribers across all platforms is eager to share his experience and social media techniques that worked for him with our athletes looking to be recruited by colleges, universities and professional leagues across North America.

Chris is a fully certified coach with the Coaching Association of Canada and fully certified NCCP coach in the Baseball stream for over 15 years.

DAVE TANNER

Dave, our Co-Founder and Director, Sales and Marketing is a highly experienced sales executive and hockey coach for more than 15 years.

Dave spent time in the Canadian Armed Forces reserves and knows a thing or two about what it takes to put your head down, do the work and persevere. 

Dave has worked with and coached hundreds of youth athletes and you'll see Dave out at your league events and on location at tournaments, drafts and more helping you GET SEEN by coaches, recruiters and scouts!
